Lowest air temperature –40.5 °C (17.01.1940, Varėna);
Highest air temperature +12.6 °C (10.01.2007, Lazdijai);
30-31.01.1970 frost registered at 34 stations, with –38.0 °C in Utena;
04-08.01.1987 temperature dropped to –35.0 °C;
21.01.1956 wind speed in Klaipėda was 34 m/s;

08-11.02.1969 the longest snowstorm in Lithuania (Panevėžys), which lasted 78 h 25 min. (longer than three days) with the wind speed of 16 m/s with gusts of up to 20m/s;
The wind speed during a blizzard on 17-18.02.1962 reached 20 m/s with gusts of 26 m/s. The blizzard in Šilutė took place for 22 h, Marijampolė – 32 h;
17.02.1962 the wind speed in Klaipėda reached 30 m/s;
22-25.02.1980 the maximum diameter of composite frost and wet snow reached 68 mm with the mas of 152 g;
23-24.02.1975 Vėžaičiai was surrounded by thick fog for 16 h 18 min.

The thickest layer of snow throughout the entire recorded history in Lithuania was recorded in March 1931 in Laukuva – 94 cm;

24.04.1993 the amount of precipitation in Vilnius was 62.5 mm in 1 h 25 min.;
12-14.04.1977 freezing rain, which lasted as long as 51 h. The diameter of frost in Panevėžys was 175 mm (on power transmission lines) with the weight ranging from 584 to 888 g (Ukmergė). The record-breaking maximum of frost on power transmission lines was 1 600 g, recorded in Vilnius, Viršuliškės neighbourhood.

19.08.1978 precipitation of 104.8 mm in 15 h 15 min. in Telšiai;
18.08.1962 precipitation of 97.1 mm in Kupiškis;
Record-breaking minimum of monthly precipitation of 1.7 mm recorded in 1996 in Biržai;
Record-breaking maximum of monthly precipitation of 291.1 mm recorded in 1978 in Šilutė;
Tornadoes with wind speed of 30-40 m/s in Medekščiai village (Kėdainiai district) on 18.08.1978 and in Josvainiai (Kėdainiai district) on 30 August, resulting in fallen trees, damaged roofs and buildings;

06.08.2012 a storm in Klaipėda seaside, reaching the wind speed of 32 m/s and featuring 46 mm of precipitation in 1 hour.

Other cases of higher temperature were recorded in 1934 (+15.3 °C), 1949 (+16.8 °C), 1955 (+14.9 °C). Highest air temperature (up to +30 °C) in September was recorded in 1951, 1968 and 1992;
In 1931, 1976, 1986, 1993 temperature had dropped as low as -6 °C;
03.09.1963 precipitation in Skuodas reached 113.0 mm (almost double monthly amount);
12.09.2011 precipitation in Švenčionys district, reaching 56 mm in 1 hour;
14.09.1977 a storm in Klaipėda and Šilutė (wind speed of up to 30 m/s);

22.10.1992 heavy sleet in east Lithuania, forming a 20–25 mm snow cover in the majority of eastern regions. The snow layer on power cables and tree branches amounted to 20–25 mm and 250–280 g of frost, resulting in broken cables, falling poles and breaking trees.
